Are pets permitted?

No. To help protect our wildlife, preserve the natural environment, and ensure a comfortable experience for all guests, pets are not permitted at Cape Carraholly Retreat. We appreciate your understanding and ask that you make arrangements for your pets before your stay.

Because of our remote waterfront location, we recommend bringing all groceries, beverages, medications, toiletries, and personal items you’ll need during your stay. Once you arrive, there are no nearby grocery stores or restaurants.

Every stay includes access to the property’s shared amenities, including the micro sauna, complimentary kayaks (subject to availability and weather conditions), hiking trails, beach areas, waterfront gathering spaces, and our collection of indoor and outdoor games.

In addition, every accommodation includes a private hot tub and BBQ.

Yurts: Each yurt offers a unique glamping experience, with amenities that vary by unit. Depending on the yurt, you’ll find either an indoor kitchenette or an outdoor kitchen equipped with a mini fridge, sink, two-burner propane cooktop, dishes, cookware, utensils, and cooking essentials. Many yurts also include an outdoor shower and smart projector. Please refer to your specific yurt listing for a complete description of its features.

Dome: The dome combines the comfort of a private retreat with the experience of glamping. It features a king bed, private indoor washroom, outdoor kitchen with a mini fridge, sink, two-burner propane cooktop, dishes, cookware, utensils, and cooking essentials, as well as an outdoor shower and private hot tub.

Lodges: Our lodges offer a traditional vacation home experience and include fully equipped kitchens with full-size appliances, cookware, dishes, utensils, bakeware, and cooking essentials. They also feature spacious living and dining areas, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, and outdoor spaces.

Yes. Every accommodation includes cooking facilities. Lodges feature fully equipped indoor kitchens, while the yurts and dome offer well-equipped kitchenettes with BBQs and cooking essentials, making it easy to prepare your own meals.

Absolutely. Many couples choose Cape Carraholly for anniversaries, birthdays, proposals, honeymoons, or simply a quiet escape together. Private hot tubs, ocean views, boat-only access, and the peaceful natural setting create an unforgettable West Coast retreat.

Yes. Our lodges are especially popular with families, offering multiple bedrooms, spacious living areas, and fully equipped kitchens. Families also enjoy kayaking, hiking, beach access, and spending quality time together in nature.

Cape Carraholly is surrounded by coastal wilderness, so wildlife sightings are part of the experience. Depending on the season, you may see birds, seals, deer, and other native wildlife. Please respect all wildlife and follow any safety guidelines provided during your stay.

West Coast weather can change quickly, and occasional rain, fog, or wind are all part of the coastal experience. Many guests find these conditions add to the atmosphere while enjoying the hot tub, sauna, or relaxing indoors. Weather conditions do not qualify for refunds.

Reservations cancelled more than 30 days before arrival receive a full refund.

Reservations cancelled 14 to 30 days before arrival receive a 50% refund.

Reservations cancelled within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable.

Everything You Need to Know Before You Arrive

How do we get to Cape Carraholly Retreat?

Cape Carraholly Retreat is accessible only by boat. Every stay includes a complimentary boat shuttle departing from Rocky Point Boat Launch in Port Moody. The scenic journey takes approximately 15 minutes and is part of the Cape Carraholly experience.

Complimentary parking is available at 2545 Spring Street, and guests will receive parking instructions before arrival. Paid parking is also available at Moody Centre Station for approximately $3 per day, payable through the parking app.

Your complimentary shuttle departs Rocky Point Boat Launch at 4:00 PM for check-in, unless you’ve been notified of a different shuttle time by our team. Check-out is at 10:00 AM, with the departure shuttle leaving the retreat at approximately that time. If we’ve arranged an alternate shuttle schedule with you in advance, those times will apply instead.

Please arrive early for your scheduled shuttle, as departure times are not flexible and we aren’t able to delay departures for late arrivals.

Guests who miss their scheduled shuttle may be able to arrange an additional boat transfer, subject to availability. Additional trips are $100 per boat and cannot be guaranteed.

Cape Carraholly offers a variety of unique accommodations, including spacious lodges, cozy glamping yurts, and a one-of-a-kind oceanfront dome. Every accommodation includes a private hot tub, BBQ, and access to the property’s shared amenities.

Our lodges are ideal for families and groups of up to six guests with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living area and kitchen.

Our yurts are perfect for couples, friends, small families, and guests looking for a unique glamping experience close to nature.

Our oceanfront dome offers one of the most private and unique stays on the property, making it a favourite for romantic couples getaways and special occasions.

Cape Carraholly Retreat is a remote, oceanfront wilderness property with unfenced shorelines, hot tubs, wildlife, and other natural hazards. Young children are welcome only with prior approval and must remain under direct adult supervision at all times.

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, although many guests choose to unplug and enjoy a few days away from screens.

Guests can spend their stay kayaking along the shoreline, relaxing in the communal sauna, hiking nearby trails, crabbing, enjoying the beach, soaking in their private hot tub, gathering around the fire, or simply taking in the peaceful oceanfront setting.
