Housekeeping + Property Maintenance
$22/hour | Port Moody, BC | Boat Transportation Provided | Accommodation Available on Working Days
Looking for a workplace that’s a little different?
Cape Carraholly Retreat is a unique, water-access-only wilderness retreat near Port Moody, BC. We’re looking for reliable, hardworking people to join our operations team and help care for our accommodations, property and guests.
We’re hiring for both regular part-time positions (approximately 3–4 days per week) and flexible/on-call work. You may be primarily interested in housekeeping, maintenance/property work, or a combination of both.
The Work
Housekeeping
Responsibilities may include cleaning and resetting cabins, yurts and our dome; making beds and laundry; cleaning kitchens, bathrooms and outdoor spaces; restocking guest supplies; and keeping accommodations ready for incoming guests.
Maintenance + Property Support
Responsibilities may include general property upkeep, basic repairs and troubleshooting, grounds work, hot tub care, garbage and recycling, organizing supplies and equipment, seasonal tasks and assisting with projects around the retreat.
Guest Interaction
Because you’ll be working at an operating retreat, all team members should also be friendly, approachable and comfortable interacting with guests, answering basic questions and helping with simple requests when needed.
You do not need to work in both housekeeping and maintenance to apply. Let us know what you’re good at and the type of work you’re interested in.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for people who are:
- Reliable and punctual
- Hardworking with good attention to detail
- Friendly and comfortable interacting with guests
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Comfortable with physical work, stairs, hills and uneven terrain
- Comfortable working outdoors in a wilderness setting
- Clear and reliable communicators
Previous housekeeping, hospitality or maintenance experience is an asset, but not required. We’re happy to train the right people.
Schedule + Getting Here
Part-Time: Approximately 3–4 days per week. Schedules are based on bookings, property needs and team availability.
